PainIntel’s Care Management Module: Remote Care with Digital E/M + Remote Monitoring

Patients, including those covered by Medicare, can now engage in non-face-to-face, patient-initiated communications with their pain care team – without the need to visit the provider’s office. This is possible through dedicated digital applications. These remote care services, known as Digital E/M (Evaluation and Management) + Remote Monitoring, are only available if there is an established relationship between the practice and the patient.  (Chronic Care Management available in certain circumstances)

Here’s how it works:

Enrollment: Easily enroll your patient in any of the Digital services – or all of them.

Mobile App Download: Have the patient download the partner myPainIntel mobile app.  The app supports the remote monitoring and their ease of initiating or participating in remote care.

Interaction: Patients use the app to start interactions around their care or advanced therapy intervention (e.g. SCS, TDD, etc).  

Monitoring: Your team monitors the patient dashboard to respond to incoming digital encounters.  Or, we can be a staff extension for you.

Billing Readiness:  We keep track of time and billing cycles for you.  At the end of the cycle, we send you the reports for your revenue cycle team to review. 

Our streamlined process ensures that patient care continues seamlessly outside traditional clinical settings.

Yes. And we remind patients to answer questions specific to their pain sites, to ensure their PROs are completed accurately.

Yes. At a minimum, they answer PROs and other questionnaires via secure SMS, email – or tablets in your office. If you use our Care Management module, they download a mobile app to initiate and receive digital care with your team.

Should you choose, you may file medically necessary claims for the assessments gathered by your licensed PainIntel. See our Blog posts for information about CPT 96127 and its use. There are other reimbursement conditions for leveraging PROs such as MIPS participation and chronic pain codes.
